Ingredients

  • butter
  • light brown sugar
  • dark brown sugar
  • eggs
  • vanilla extract
  • peppermint extract
  • all-purpose flour
  • baking powder
  • salt
  • milk powder
  • white chocolate

How to make peppermint white chocolate blondies

Before really getting into making these peppermint white chocolate blondies, start by taking out your eggs and allowing them to come to room temperature. Give yourself 1-2 hours for them to drop in temperature. After that time has passed you can preheat your oven to 350℉. Then, grease and line an 8”x8” pan. Now let’s get into baking!

First, melt your butter and let it cool for a few minutes. While the butter is cooling, measure out the sugars and add them to a large mixing bowl. Next, add the butter to the bowl and whisk everything together until the mixture is smooth and fully combined. Then add the eggs, vanilla, and peppermint extract and mix again until well combined. After that it’s time to add in the flour, baking powder, salt, and milk powder. Switch to a silicone spatula and mix gently until everything is just combined, we don’t want to overmix here. Next, after your white chocolate has been divided and both chopped and melted, add those two to the batter. Mix gently again until the chocolate has been combined well and evenly distributed.

Pour your blondie batter into your pan and spread evenly. Place the pan in the oven whenever it is ready and bake for 30 minutes. Be sure to not overbake your blondies. You know they’re done when the edges are brown and you can put a toothpick inside and it comes out dry and mostly clean. Lastly, allow your peppermint white chocolate blondies ample time to cool. This is so that they can fully finish baking and become easy to cut. Around 15-30 minutes is a great minimum. If you’d like, you can add some more melted white chocolate to the top and some chopped candy canes for a more festive feel. Then, you can cut them into as many pieces as you’d like and enjoy your delicious holiday treat!

How to store

You can store your peppermint white chocolate blondies in an airtight container or bag at room temperature for up to 5-7 days. If you’d like to keep them for longer you can store them in a freezer safe bag or container and keep them frozen for up to 3 months. This is a great option if you’d like to make them ahead of time and just take them out when you’re ready to bring them to your next holiday event!
